The four of us were sitting in the backyard around the pool on Friday afternoon. We saw
a light in the western sky that appeared to be coming towards us. The next thing
we remember, we were sitting in chairs on the driveway staring at strange construction
that had appeared on the garage door. It was several hours later and the sun was beginning
to set. As we looked at each other and began to realize how much time had passed we noticed the
construction begin to glow. The glow was hypnotic and we had difficulty looking away from
it and so remained seated in our chairs for a considerable time gazing in its direction unable
to rouse ourselves. Where did it come from? What did it mean? We decided that these questions
were not ones we could answer on an empty stomach and so we repaired indoors to fortify
ourselves with wine and dinner and then spent several additional hours examining the artifact
before retiring for the evening.
